First day, and already early.

I game.

I game almost every day, and am rather indiscriminate about what I play. Things show up, I play them until they are done, then I move one. As a digital womanizer, games are left and not always loved in favor of what happens to be next on the queue. There are a few stand byes; I continue to forge my Blanka from terrible to almost not terrible and Rock Band is always waiting to consume more Microsoft points. The backlog never ends, though, and that is just how I like it.

About a year and a half ago I started writing reviews for a site that has since gone away. It was something new, something challenging, and in many ways more than a little cathartic. Ripping in to a terrible game eases the pain of having wasted twenty plus hours on it; revenge for time lost, perhaps. After the first site stopped updating I jumped on to a new one, one with an editor who thankfully had the stones to challenge me on my writing. My topics wandered, I was far to negative, and I had to start over from scratch on several occasions.

It was good for me.

On the other hand, I think that I may have been a bit to high maintenance for him, as a bit I wrote about Dragon Age has been sitting in his 'to be reviewed' pile for several weeks, and I didn't complain about the console version being inferrior to the PC version any more than it was necessary.

And it was very necessary (I will post the first part of the review soon).

Which brings me to this. Good or bad, I really don't like things that I write sitting around. No one may ever see them here, either, but there is at least there is a small possibility of it happening. Details will follow, as I am not sure of them myself, but this will be a daily report of what I happen to be playing, with reviews of most titles put up when I am done with them. Note: the reviews will always be late. I am just now getting to games that came out in November.

There is a lot of shit to get caught up on, and of course I chose a JRPG to kick it off. Here's to the next 40 hours of grinding and gender confusion.
